Field guide

number_typeClassifies the number as mobile, landline, or VoIP. Landlines can't receive SMS; VoIP numbers are often disposable or tied to fraud.
portedWhether the number has moved to a different carrier. Ported numbers may route (and price) differently than their original network suggests.
carrierThe current operator and MCC/MNC code, even after porting. Useful for network-level routing and cost optimisation.
reachableA live signal of whether the number is active and resolvable on its operator's network, where the operator exposes it. A phone that is simply switched off or out of coverage is not dead — SMS still queues and delivers later. Treat this as a strong bonus signal, not a delivery guarantee.
